The 7 Mehmet Cookbook is the first comprehensive work to record this heritage, bringing the past and the present together at the same table.
This book was created under the leadership of our third-generation representative, Mehmet Akdağ. Having grown up in the heart of this kitchen, he faithfully reflects its core values, the simplicity of Mediterranean gastronomy, and the character of Antalya’s dining culture. Each recipe is treated as part of the culinary discipline and flavor philosophy that has remained unchanged since 1937.
Since its publication, The 7 Mehmet Cookbook has attracted international attention. It was awarded “Best of the Best – Mediterranean Food Culture” at the prestigious Gourmand Awards, announced during the Saudi Feast Food Festival in Riyadh, marking the book’s third international award.
In his evaluation, Edouard Cointreau, founder of the Gourmand Awards, emphasized that the book conveys more than a century of culinary heritage and Mediterranean food culture with a holistic and in-depth approach.
