This book was brought to life under the leadership of our third-generation representative, Mehmet Akdağ. Mehmet Akdağ reflected the fundamental values of this cuisine, in which he grew up, the simplicity of Mediterranean gastronomy, and the character of Antalya tables, as seen in the book. Each recipe was considered as a part of our unchanging understanding of taste and culinary discipline since 1937.
The 7 Mehmet Cookbook has attracted attention in the international gastronomic world since its publication. The book was awarded the “Best of the Best – Mediterranean Food Culture” prize at the Gourmand Awards, one of the most prestigious organizations in world gastronomy publishing. The award was announced at the Saudi Feast Food Festival in Riyadh, and with this achievement, the book received its third international award. He won.
Gourmand Awards founder Edouard Cointreau emphasized in his evaluation that the work conveys a century-old culinary heritage and Mediterranean gastronomic culture with a holistic and in-depth approach.
